Course Overview

The Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA) is a qualification in the Further Education (FE) sector, designed for those who are required to carry out the internal quality assurance of assessment.

The course consists of 2 units:

  • Understand the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
  • Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment

Course Requirements

  • The trainee IQA, should have significant previous experience and/or qualification in the assessment of learning.
  • They must also have the opportunity to research existing organisational assessment, quality assurance policies, procedures, and practice.
  • Maths and English at Level 2 is desirable.
