The Benefits of Bite-size Learning

Maxam Training is proud to offer a series of bite-size, online courses designed specifically for professionals looking to improve their personal development.

These flexible, online courses provide short bursts of focused, highly relevant content, grounded in the psychology that everyone should know.

Foundational knowledge provides a structure that makes personal growth more actionable and sustainable. It builds cognitive skills that enable us to process information efficiently, meaning decision making is more effective, objective and rational rather than based on instinct.

Improving our knowledge base supports confidence and self-efficacy. Understanding how and why something works helps us to navigate complex situations with competence. Knowledge based training also encourages us to be reflective practitioners. It supports us to think critically, analyse our own thoughts and behaviours and also helps to reduce personal bias.

Skills based training often starts with acquiring core knowledge before providing opportunities to apply that understanding in a more practical way.

That’s what our bite-size training is all about – providing fundamental, human-centred content that we can apply to our own practice when dealing directly with staff, customers, clients or the communities we work in.

Accessing information in a bite-size way fits around our busy schedules and allows us to retain the knowledge needed to change our thoughts, beliefs and perceptions leading to behaviour change. It is also a cost-effective option to develop your teams at a time when budgets are stretched.
